Rockin' The Rails "Burner"
Illustrated in 2023, by Samuel E Vázquez aka BRAME, to commemorate Hip Hop 50, Rockin' The Rails "Burner" depicts a freshly painted IRT #5 New York City subway on the Baychester Layup in The Bronx, New York. The style writers then turned their attention to painting more trains.
Vázquez is a former New York City style writer. By 1983, he became more active in writing and painting the subways. He is a member of writing crews from Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, and The Bronx. Vázquez was featured in the exhibition City as Canvas: New York City Graffiti from the 70s and 80s (2017-2018) at the Indianapolis Museum of Art. He was one of the feature artists to paint the showcase mural wall at the 39th Annual New York City Graffiti Hall of Fame and Hip Hop Festival (2019) in East Harlem, New York.
